In addition to used items, many stores carry new surplus building materials donated by businesses in your community and around the country. If you’d like to change the life of a family in our community, you can do so in a number of ways. Many businesses choose the Charlotte Region ReStores when looking to donate large amounts of furniture and office equipment before a move or remodel or when “sunsetting” an inventory of goods.

To donate materials, contact your local Habitat ReStore. Most ReStores will include a variety of new and used building materials, appliances and furniture. Many stores have inventory that expands beyond these three categories.

As one of the fastest-growing cities in America, Charlotte has seen a surge in population, causing housing prices to rise significantly. Except for the three-year COVID hiatus, it has been HabitatInternational’s most high-profile event every year since. You don’t have to swing a hammer to make a difference! Habitat Charlotte Region has many volunteer opportunities available through the Charlotte Region ReStores. As part of their willingness to partner, Habitat’s homebuyers invest hundreds of hours of their own labor, called sweat equity, working alongside volunteers and other Habitat homeowners.

We unfortunately do not have the resources to deconstruct or dismantle any items that wish to be donated. We recommend contacting the Deconstruction and Reuse Network for this service. If a Habitat homeowner chooses to sell a home, HCR has a right of first refusal to purchase the home—matching the price the homeowner has been offered on the open market. If we purchase the home, HCR renovates it and sells it to another qualified moderate-income homebuyer. Flight was canceled with little warning. Flight was rebooked through Ontario, California and connecting flight was delayed by over three hours. Frontier is living up to their Greyhound of the skies reputation for sure. Unfortunately not great, my flight was canceled with no notice given. I will never fly spirit for more than a 3 hour flight or overnight. American Airlines gets worse every time I fly them. This is the 3rd time they lost my bags in a year. I also think their employees do not care when I communicate that I’m unsatisfied with the airlines.

Sort of wasted our first day of vacation. We left Pittsburgh at 630am and did not arrive in Mexico until late dinner time. The plane was old and you are required to connect your own device to their Wi-Fi rather than have entertainment options in the back of the seat in front of you. The Wi-Fi went out during the flight and there was only one plug for the devices every two seats. Three out of five surrounding my family did not work. The seats and spaces under them were so small I could not fit my backpack, which I’ve always brought on flights and fit before no problem.

Seats were good no cell phone charges on the plane no TVs or entertainment. The helpful attitude of the staff, and being a wheelchair passenger everyone was helpful and understanding. The trip was made comfortable by the upgraded seat which was given without my request, that was a great surprise. I'm a larger, athletic guy (6'2", 260lbs powerlifter) and I found the seats incredibly uncomfortable with minimal leg room, especially in a window seat.
